Jim has been in the insurance business continously for 40 years.  He maintained his active insurance consulting practice during a four year hiatus in elected public life as the Member of the Alberta Legislature for Red Deer.  He served as National Director, Prairies Region for Advocis (formerly known as the Life Underwriters Association of Canada) as well as the National Chairman for the Publicity and Information Committee and was a member of the National nominating Committee for this Industry Board.  Jm was a founding member of the Conference of Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU).
